So many updates !!!!!!!
Its been a while since I posted something. When I started , I hoped to remain disciplined and post regularly at least once a week. But for whatever reasons I could state, I didn't blog for almost 5 months now. Its been a crazy busy bunch of months.
December was super exciting. we had been to Kerala ,visited the Arippa wildlife sanctuary, spent one day in house boat sailing from Kollam to Munroe Islands,enjoyed temple festivals, family get together, had amazing food, and most of all I got to spent complete 2 weeks with R who enjoyed the open spaces and new faces.
We reached back on Jan 3rd. January was crazy . Amma fall sick and haggard, she had intensive cough and chest congestion and I had a very tough juggling house and work. Yet I had time to catch with some of my office colleagues and I had been for dinner out at Leopold on one saturday eve which was all fun. Hubby dear had been to Delhi, Amritsar. He visited Golden temple and Wagah border and promise to take us there some day soon. Towards the end of the month,little R got chickenpox. Realizing I would be vulnerable , as I never had this disease in my childhood, my FIL took me to the homeopath nearby ,presuming homeo medicines have peventive cure against CP. I was on homeo medicine while R was pretty easy to handle. Apart from the random crankiness from itching and irritation, he never made a scene of his annoying illness. By about 10th day he was all well and recovered, just with some scars here and there. I even been to office the other day , hoping he is fine and I will never get CP as I am immune with my homeo medicines in action. The next monday I had a fever and the evning i spotted tiny red bumps here and there. So there I am, with no homeo medicinesto save , infected with the CP virus .I was on leave for about 10 days and still have those scars , even on my face 😓. Rest of Feb faded away super fast. After resuming work, I had so much to finish off, but somehow work went smooth.
March again was super hectic. Earlier in Jan, we had plans to take break closer to my birthday in March, just 3 of us to head off to somewhere close by. But the CP leaves in Feb ruined all the possibilities of time off from work again. I had a memorable birthday as I turned year older with a surprise cake and lots of love and wishes from my dearest ones. It was a quite, serene day with both of us working and no excpetional events, yet the day was different with so many well-wishes. We had some good family get-togethers and a sumptous lunch on Gudi-Padwa here , where I made Veg biriyani and Raita for all of the family. Though I was jaded and haggard at the end of most days with the long commute and the summer starting in, it is refreshing to see Kunju waiting for us eagerly and shouting amma and papa as we reach the doors. And there is one more surprise addition, we got a new car. The details of which I will keep as a fodder to another blog post :).
